In the event of single hardware failure, no loss of data is experienced.

Backups:

Full backups of all your web files are conducted weekly. Incremental backups are conducted daily. Backup files are kept for a maximum of two weeks. It is recommended that the client schedules regular backups of their web files with independent backup software as an additional safety feature. Personal backups of your web files is also recommended.

Restore Backups:

The Restore Backup tool in konsoleH allows you for the restore of web files and databases from your recent backups at no additional charge.

KonsoleH Control Panel:

konsoleH is an award-winning, control panel which gives full control and easy access to a various tools and systems to manage your hosting services.

Graphic Visitor Statistics:

Graphical visitor statistics tool, AWStats, in konsoleH interprets raw traffic stats in a comprehensible format.

EMAIL

Webmail:

Accessible directly online or configurable with MS Outlook, Thunderbird etc. The easy to use online web mailbox is accessible via desktop, laptop, mobile device or internet cafe. We keep you connected.

Anti-spam Filter:

Our Spam Filter is built around of spam rules developed for your protection. All mail is evaluated against our spam rules and assigned a "score." The score determines whether the message is classified as spam. 

Anti-virus Scanning:

All incoming email is scanned for potentially harmful viruses that will be removed or quarantined before it reaches you. It is recommended that you still use anti-virus software on your PC to ensure that you are fully protected. 

Alias Forwarding:

Mail Forwarding is available, should you wish to forward an alias or copy the message destined for your mailbox to additional recipients.

Mailbox Autoresponder:

Autoresponders are pre-written replies on the receipt of an email. They are usually used to provide automated confirmation of receipts or 'out of office' messages.

Spamhaus Zen:

Spamhaus Zen is a Blacklist licensed subscription service containing IP addresses that have a history of sending spam. Our server rejects all emails coming from these IP addresses. We offer this service free free with each mailbox.

Mail Log:

A mail log is a record of all emails sent or received from your mailbox. While you cannot retrieve the actual mail from the mail logs, you can view the send or delivery status of mails sent from or to your mailbox.

Fax-to-Mail-Service:

The fax-to-mail services allow you to receive faxes directly into your inbox.

Additional Mailbox:

R10.00 per month, payable annually.

 

PROGRAMMING AND DATABASES

PHP7:

PHP is a popular, powerful script language used by 80{05cbe95126343d15e488dd53a79f51f55a9ac9aac2263bf79537a6fcaf3e0c23} of all websites. The software is included in all hosting plans.

Full Range of MIME Types:

MIME (Multi-Purpose Internet Mail Extensions) allows an exchange of different data file types on the Internet e.g. audio, video, images and application programs.

CGI Email (from handling code):

CGI Email is a flexible, configurable script to enable the submission of a HTML form result by email.

MYSQL Databases:

Dynamic websites usually use databases to save information. We offer the MySQL database.

Perl5:

Perl is a script programming language that is similar in syntax to the C language. Perl path: /usr/bin/perl.

C, C++:

C is a structured, procedural programming language widely used both for operating systems and applications and that has had a wide following in the academic community. Various versions of Unix-based operating systems are written in C.

Custom CGI:

ENCRYPTION CERTIFICATES

SSL Encryption Certificates: 

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers remain private and secure.

All our hosting and web hosting packages come with SSL Encryption, provided the clients domain name is hosted on our server and not pointing to us from a different service provider.

 

DOMAINS

Domain registration:

Domain names are website names used to locate and display a website (eg: www.domainname.co.za). A domain name is an easy to remember name that refers to an IP address (such as 196.342.285.143) that computers use to determine what website to display. Depending on the TLD you choose to register (.co.za, .com, .de, etc) different costs apply. A new domain name can be registered through us upon request.

Sub Domains:

A Sub-Domain is an alternative naming option for websites in that it shares name of an existing parent domain e.g. development.your-domain.co.za is a sub-domain of your-domain.co.za. A Sub-domain can either be setup as a separate hosting package (Basic - Master) or share the resources of the parent domain (Parked or Multiple domain).

A Sub-domain does not get registered with a registrar but normal package setup and hosting fees do apply where required.

Parked Domains:

A Parked domain points to the same website content as its parent domain. For example, you can park ‘your-domain.co.za’ on ‘your-domain.com’. If someone browses to ‘your-domain.co.za’ in a web browser, it will display the same website that ‘your-domain.com’ does.

Multiple Domains: Multiple domains are hosted on the sub-directory of a primary Business package. Each domain will have its own files. It includes the following:

• Online Mail Administration tool

• Online Web Mailbox

• One catch-all mailbox

Multiple domains share the traffic and disk space quotas of its parent account quota.

Domain Squatting:

• Reselling Domains to third party's is illegal in several Countries and is therefore not allowed allowed by Apex Hosting. Multiple Domains registered through us are for the Profile Owner’s websites alone.
